We have come a long way as a company. Originally founded in a spare bedroom…
Statiflo Goes Virtual: More than 100 of our business partners around the world gathered on Zoom for Statiflo’s first virtual conference.
We had initially intended hosting a conference in person at our headquarters in Cheshire, but then the pandemic struck and we had to revise our plans.
Due to the circumstances, our head office team have been unable to travel abroad for more than a year to make their usual face-to-face visits to our BPs or to attend exhibitions, which in normal times also provide great opportunities to meet up with our global network.
Over the same period, our ongoing international expansion has meant we have welcomed a large number of new business partners.
With these factors in mind, we decided to make our conference a virtual event and we arranged it to suit our business partners whichever time zone they are operating within around the world.
We had one session for those in North and South America, and a second gathering for those in the rest of the world.
Managing director Gareth Fry, sales director Paul Buck, group business development manager Carl Wilkinson and our applications engineer and marketing co-ordinator Robert Savage were all heavily involved.
The quartet gave updates on new developments and applications for our product range and on our research and development and marketing activities, and provided advice on how our business partners can successfully bid for new work to enable Statiflo to maintain its competitive edge.
Paul said: “The Statiflo Virtual Business Partner Conference took a lot of planning but the feedback was extremely positive and we received numerous messages thanking us for organising the event.
“It was a great way to discuss and promote new ideas and improved ways of working, and successfully brought everyone closer despite the huge physical distances that exist between us.
“Hopefully our network of business partners will be able to take the great content provided during the conference back into their roles, benefiting them and the company as a whole as we continue to navigate our way through the challenges presented by the pandemic.”
