IFAT for Statiflo Team

Our visit to IFAT 2022 proved a great success as we reconnected face-to-face with contacts, clients, suppliers and our business representatives from across the globe.

Sales director Paul Buck, technical director Carl Wilkinson, European sales manager Axel Schmidt, general manager, sales and marketing Robert Savage and applications engineer Michael Alderman made up our five-strong delegation at the event in Munich.

It was exciting to be back meeting people in person after the easing of restrictions imposed during the pandemic.

Indeed, this was the first IFAT exhibition since 2018 and it brought together professionals from the water, sewage, wastewater and raw materials management sector.

Almost 120,000 visitors from 155 countries attended the show, which featured nearly 3,000 exhibitors across 18 halls, confirming IFAT’s place as the world’s leading trade fair of its kind.

We were delighted to showcase our range of industry-leading gas dispersion systems, static pipe mixers and static channel mixers.

There was in particular great interest shown in our non-ragging and non-ragging channel mixers for the wastewater industry, especially in the light of recent EU directives designed to lower phosphorus levels in discharged water.

The wide range of applications for these mixers includes reducing the amount of phosphorus in discharges from sewage works, which benefits the environment and marine life.

Efficient mixing also ensures that the dosing of iron-based compounds, which help to achieve phosphorus removal targets, can be carried out by minimising potentially harmful ferric doses.

Paul said: “It was great to be back at IFAT after a four-year gap. The exhibition gave us a welcome opportunity to connect with existing and new customers and to touch base with business partners and suppliers whom we have been unable to see in person for a few years.

“We had a successful show with good footfall to our stand and plenty of interesting conversations.

“Now we are eagerly looking ahead to our next show, which is the WEFTEC exhibition in the United States in October, and we look forward to meeting water quality professionals from around the globe at that event.”
