A delegation from a Malaysian water utility company recently visited Statiflo’s headquarters during a trip to Europe to meet equipment suppliers.

Three senior members of staff from Lembaga Air Perak, which is based in Ipoh, travelled to Macclesfield where they were greeted by general sales manager Paul Buck.

Paul introduced the trio – chief chemist Hajah Fadzilah binti Abdul Kadir, operations engineer Pn. Wan Zunaidah binti Wan Ibrahim and legal officer Pn. Sharifah Intan binti Syed Adam – to managing director Gareth Fry and other members of the Statiflo team.

Lembaga Air Perak has deployed pipe and channel mixers at one of its water treatment plants and has seen the benefits of our equipment, which has generated significant chemical savings.

Paul gave a presentation on our static mixers, non-ragging pipe and channel mixers and our gas dispersion system, demonstrating various applications and showcasing the technology behind the equipment.

After lunch, the visitors went shopping at a nearby store for Manchester United merchandise, including scarves, hats and pencil cases!

Paul said: “We were delighted to welcome the visitors from Lembaga Air Perak and to showcase our latest range of equipment.

“They provided a valuable insight into their company and future projects, and we look forward to supplying additional mixers for use at their water treatment plants.”

The visit was arranged in conjunction with our Malaysian business partner, Arachem.

Paul will be joining Arachem at its booth at the Malaysian International Water Convention, which will take place from October 1-3 in Kuala Lumpur.

He said: “We have a very good relationship with Arachem, which is one of our longest-standing and most successful business partners.

“Arachem is very well-established in the Malaysian market and I look forward to supporting the team at the exhibition.

“Being there will give me a greater insight into the Malaysian water market, and will give me the opportunity to meet potential new customers as well as existing ones.”
