Statiflo shortlisted for export accolade.

Statiflo is in the running for glory at an awards ceremony celebrating successful exporters based across the entire north of England.

The company is a finalist in the emerging markets exporter of the year category at the PD Ports Northern Powerhouse Export Awards 2019.

The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, February 7 at the National Railway Museum, York.

This is the third year of the awards, which are run in association with HSBC, the Department for International Trade and Chamber International.

Gareth Fry, managing director of Statiflo, said: “This is great news to start off the new year. Our shortlisting reflects the company’s success over the past 12 months, and in particular the hard work and dedication of our team.

“We are proud to be a finalist in this prestigious competition and we are looking forward with great excitement to the awards ceremony.”

Statiflo expanding on emerging markets

Statiflo’s sales in emerging markets have increased by 20 per cent over the past year.

The company has expanded with new business partners in countries including Chile, Peru, Thailand and Vietnam as Gareth and his team prepare Statiflo for the post-Brexit era.

Orders from emerging markets such as the Philippines have also served as a reference point for similar projects in other regions of the world.

Gareth added: “Emerging markets are a real focus for Statiflo as we continue our expansion, and to be recognised for our achievements is a great boost for our staff and business partners.”
