Pipe mixer and Channel Mixer test

A delegation from the Far East travelled to Cheshire to witness a factory acceptance test (FAT) on mixers being supplied for use in a Malaysian water treatment plant.

The FAT at Statiflo’s local factory in Macclesfield was successfully completed on a 1800mm pipe mixer produced for the disinfection process and on a channel mixer manufactured for use in the coagulation process.

The test included Dye Penetrant Inspection on the pipe mixer and a dimensional check on the channel mixer.

The five-strong party also enjoyed a tour of our HQ in Macclesfield, Cheshire, and a presentation on our range of products.

In the group were directors and other senior representatives from our Malaysian business partner Arachem, its client UPEN, which owns the water plant, consultant JPZ Consulting and contractor CWM.

Wet testing on static mixers

Following their visit to Statiflo, the group travelled to Cranfield, Bedfordshire, for a tour of BHR Group’s test facility.

BHR Group performs the independent wet testing on our static mixers to ensure mixture quality and pressure drop, using the latest laser induced fluorescence rig technology.

Statiflo’s general sales manager Paul Buck, who arranged the programme for the group, said: “It was great to host the delegation and they all found the trip to Statiflo to be worthwhile.

“The laboratory test facility at BHR Group is very impressive and the visitors also really enjoyed this part of their itinerary.

“The Far East is a very important market for Statiflo, with good growth in recent times. Arachem is a long-standing business partner and one of our most successful.

“Playing host to the delegation enabled us to showcase our products and technical expertise, which will hopefully go some way to cementing our position as the market leader in mixing and flow conditioning technology in the Far East.”
